The winners for the Safari Awards 2013 were announced in London, England on the 30th January. Remote Africa Safaris was delighted when Tafika Camp was a finalist for ‘Best Safari Property in Africa’ and claimed 3rd place in the ‘Best Safari Property in Southern Africa’ category. We are extremely happy with Tafikas’ recognition and aim to keep up the high standards of Remote Africa Safaris for the 2013 season.

The Safari Awards is an award process that highlights excellence amongst the tour operations in Africa and it has grown immensely since its commencement four years ago. There are up to 20 categories of awards, which range from ‘Best Cuisine’ to ‘Best Properties’ in Africa. The award judges are extremely knowledgeable travel experts and are nominated by the previous years award winners and finalists. The voting process includes the involvement of over 3,000 tour operators, travel agents and journalists, as well as customers and guests of the nominee camps. Thus award winners and finalists are considered the best operations in Africa.
